Sun Wah Tower
Another crystalline waterproofing system was specified for this 24-storey office building by the designer. After its completion of the works in the basement, the main contractor, Shimizu Corporation switched to using Xypex for the waterproofing of the 3rd floor and the roof water tanks. Since leakage from these above grade tanks will definitely cause serious damages and inconveniences to the building occupants, the contractor was determined to use only the very best product available. Upon consulting with their Japan headquarters, the decision resulted in selecting Xypex for the job. Total area treated was 198 m2 and 102 linear meters of construction joints. The work was completed in July, 1997.
